NARATIF BAHARU

"This pandemic has dismantled schooling, but it has not dismantled learning. The education architecture of schools may have been replaced, albeit temporarily, but learning and teaching continue. It now takes place everywhere, in kitchens, in gardens, in streets, in bedrooms. It takes place in any space where there is something to be questioned, understood and learned. A few short months ago, on-line learning, blended learning, remote learning were viewed as options, as additions, as exciting possibilities. Now they define education, globally."

Cabaran pandemik COVID-19 telah menguji keupayaan sistem persekolahan di seluruh dunia.  Ternyata sistem persekolahan yang dibangunkan dengan naratif persekolahan konvensional tidak berjaya melepasi 'ujian tekanan' tersebut. Laporan demi laporan mencadangkan supaya dilakukan “reimagined”, “restarting” atau “reinventing” pengalaman persekolahan sedia ada. Dalam konteks inilah kami mencadangkan NARATIF BAHARU PERSEKOLAHAN DI MALAYSIA yang memberikan fokus kepada perubahan pengalaman persekolahan murid.

 

Naratif yang dapat memberikan murid-murid pengalaman pembelajaran bermakna supaya mereka memiliki disposisi pembelajaran yang tangkas, berinovasi dan berfokus pada masa hadapan. Adalah diharapkan naratif ini akan membudayakan "normal baharu' pasca pandemik yang lebih berdaya maju dan seterusnya memacu perubahan sistem yang lebih komprehensif.
